I am a firm believer that everything is more fun when it’s pretty. Meal planning? BORING. Unless it’s in a pretty planner. Cleaning my closet? BORING. Unless I have some plans for improvements when it’s all clean. Goal setting? OK, not boring – setting goals is fun. But keeping up with them and being consistent? BORING. Unless, of course, you make it pretty! I hope you’ll put these colorful printable vision board stickers to good use dressing up your vision board so you’ll be excited to look at it all year long.
(Ok, vision boards don’t have to be pretty – I teach tons of vision board classes and workshops and I always tell people the first rule of vision boards is that there are no rules for vision boards. Your vision board should reflect you and does not need to be fancy, matchy-matchy, or colorful. But since you’re here – I hope you’ll grab these and give them a try!)
Let’s talk about vision boards
If you’re new here, hi! I’m Carrie, and I am the author of Make Anything Happen: A Creative Guide to Vision Boards, Goal Setting, and Achieving the Life of Your Dreams. The year I wrote this book, guess what was on my vision board? “Write a book” was on my vision board. I created a vision board template, blogged about it, and a publisher found me. Other things that have come true that started on a vision boards: getting debt-free, buying a new house, and adding to my horse collection (some people like to buy cars, I like horses…kidding/not kidding).
I wrote the book, and I have taught vision board workshops all around the country (in need of a party for a corporate event or a conference? Call me!). I have seen it all when it comes to vision boards. And with that in mind, I have some vision board resources for you.
First of all, here’s how to make a vision board (you can buy the book if you want more details, and it comes with fun journaling pages – but this article will definitely get you going). Here are some vision board topics to get you started, and here are some vision board printables (templates and such) to prettify your project.
I have several printable vision board kits. The neutral vision board kit is my most popular, but the colorful vision board kit (some of the pages are pictured below) matches the stickers you’re seeing in this post – grab either (or both – they’re free).
Best paper for printable stickers
I personally prefer full sheet labels for my stickers. They’re simpler to peel compared to traditional sticker paper, which doesn’t have slits on the back for easy peeling. I’ve printed (and cut) a lot of stickers in my day, and this is the easiest way to do it. If you’re handy with a Cricut or a Silhouette, you can save yourself the energy of cutting them out.
Incorporating stickers onto your vision board
If you’re a perfectionist (hi! I’m Carrie, and I am a recovering perfectionist and that is a true story), you might worry about ruining your vision board layout with misplaced stickers. I recommend penciling out a rough outline if this sounds like you. Otherwise, just go nuts. You can’t go wrong, you can’t mess it up – I promise (if you hate something, just cover it up). It’s going to look great.
These stickers are also a fantastic addition to planners!
