Well, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for my quarterly food craft! I’m not crafty very often, but when I am…I like to use candy as my medium of choice. I mean, I can’t feel guilty about eating 32,000 candy corns before the second week of September has even started if it’s for a CRAFT, right?! This DIY Candy Corn wreath was *so* easy to make, I feel like I should make another one just because I can.
Here’s everything I used to make it:
- Two bags of candy corns (could have done it in one, but…I ate 32,000, remember?)
- Craft glue (I always use the trusty E6000) or a glue gun
- 12″ Craft Ring
- Ribbon (preferably with sparkles, because, SPARKLES)
- Not pictured: black paint to paint the craft ring
- Also not pictured: super cute little letters from Michael’s that spell “BOO” – bonus that they were less than $1 each! (leave these off for something you can hang all Fall long)
This is not only easy to make, but it doesn’t take a lot of time, either. Here’s what I did:
- Paint the craft ring black.
- Apply a liberal amount of glue to a small section of the craft ring and start sticking on candy corns (alternating which way they’re pointing). Leave one hole in the ring uncovered for the ribbon to hang your wreath.
- Let it dry.
- Glue on your letters.
- Let it dry.
- Add your ribbon through the hole, tie a bow, and hang!
I have not sprayed it with a varnish yet, but I probably will before storing it for next year. Also, I photographed it outside because it’s so darn cute against our black door, but it’s still pretty much blistering hot in Texas…I think this is better suited to the indoors. Also, I have no real bow-making skills to speak of, so I hide this by using sparkly ribbon and pretending I like a simple bow better anyway.
Here are some other candy/food crafts I’ve blogged:
- Berry Wreath Centerpiece
- Candy Heart Wreath
- M&M Christmas Trees (this one is my favorite)

Wowwwwww
Carrie this is GORGEOUS !!
It’s beautiful and colorful (and tasty hehehe)
I LOVE it
Thank you Winnie!! I do love looking at it…and it was fun to eat, I mean make, too. 😉
I love it. I think it is actually easy enough for me to do!
I promise, this was SO easy!!
Oh, this is adorable! I LOVE candy corn, and I usually end up eating the whole bag by myself! This would be a good way to only eat, say, half the bag by myself. Right??
Totally a good way to control your candy corn intake! lol. Or NOT.
I suppose *that* depends on how you look at it. And how much willpower I have not to, you know, eat a wreath.
This is an intervention – DO NOT EAT THE DAMN CANDY CORNS!
Ok, I love this idea…but I’m afraid the iguanas will eat this, OR they will melt in 95 degree wither and drip down my door. Thoughts? If you give me the green light I’m totally making this!
You have NO idea how badly I need a candy corn intervention!!
It’s still hot and humid in Texas…I am keeping it inside!
So cute and easy! And my kids will dig it! Well done!
Thank you Kelly!
Too cute! I love candy corn. I would have to buy extra because I would be eating all the corn as I was making the wreath!
Same here!! It’s so goooood!
I cannot believe my eyes, a candy corn wreath, If I make this I will eat half of them! I am really addicted to Candy Corn!
It came out so pretty! Love it! Love if you share this on Fabulous Friday Party or any other posts like this
Thanks Maria

It was hard not to eat them allllll. I did probably gain a pound or two during the making of this wreath!
I LOVE this idea! I’m sure the kiddos would love to make this together! I would love to feature your post on my blog (http://beforetheclockstrikesmidnight.blogspot.com). Let me know if your interested through email: [email protected]
Thanks Tiffany! I’d love to be featured! 🙂
This is a cute wreath!
Thank you for stopping by the Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog Hop this week. We hope to see you drop by our neck of the woods next week!
How fun! I love the look of this. We don’t get candy corn here in the UK and this country doesn’t really celebrate Halloween which is shame as I’d love this wreath to go on our door. Thanks for linking up to Sweet and Savoury Sunday, stop by and link up again. Have a great day!!
You are MISSING OUT! Candy corn is amazing.
Thank you so much for linking up your super cute wreath to Dare to Share. You are today’s Dare to Share Feature of the Day! I know I would need a couple of bags of corn, because I would eat it all too.. 🙂
It’s just so tasty!! 🙂
