We juice sporadically. To be honest, I would juice every day if it weren’t such a huge pain in my rear. The main reason we do it is to get rid of fruits or veggies before they go bad, or for the kids. I feel good about juicing for the kids, and it’s given me a unique way to get veggies into their diet – and they love helping make the juice. And that includes this carrot juice for kids recipe!
Recently, I made them some carrot juice (actually, it was carrot, pineapple, mango and orange) that they guzzled down in seconds. The main ingredient was carrots, so I felt like a Motherhood Champion for getting carrot juice into my kids! They even begged for more. I’m sharing this juice recipe for kids below, and next week I’ll share some tips I’ve learned about juicing for kids (especially picky ones!).
Carrot Juice for Kids
This recipe made an entire pitcher (about 40 oz.) of juice, so it was enough for the whole family. Fresh juice like this doesn’t really keep well, so plan on drinking it all fresh. I made this batch for the whole family – just cut down on ingredients for a smaller amount (the good thing about juicing is that it’s not rocket science, so you can’t really get it wrong).
What are the ingredients in carrot juice for kids?
Carrots – 12 large ones, peeled (I am too lazy to peel the carrots when I make juice for myself, but for the kids, I always peel them – it makes for sweeter juice)
Pineapple – 1, cut into large chunks
Mango – 1 or 2
Oranges – 2 large or 3 smallers ones
You can also add a couple handfuls of spinach without changing the taste, but this will change the color of the juice to a brownish/greenish color – so just keep that in mind when juicing for picky kids!

- 2 oranges peeled
Optional
- 2 c spinach
Instructions
- Toss everything in the juicer and you're done! Notes
Nutrition
Just toss it all in your juicer and you’re good to go! I always stir it before giving it to the kids to make sure it’s all mixed. When I started juicing for the kids, I’d make them orange juice and add just a carrot or two – they couldn’t tell the difference. Now, they know I am making it mostly from carrots and they still love it. I can even add some spinach and they’ll still drink it!
