Well, somehow or other, my baby just turned four. Four years old, you guys! It seems like just yesterday I was looking into her eyes for the first time. It’s hard to believe that little baby is now a child with opinions of her own who is obsessed with ponies, princesses, and the color pink.

I used American Greetings products and found everything I needed for this party at Walmart in the party section (tucked right in between Doc McStuffins and Minnie Mouse).

American Greeting Disney Princess Birthday Banner
American Greetings Birthday Sash (totally optional – you could use ribbon instead)
4 pieces of scrapbook paper or some paint
12″ Wooden craft ring
Mod Podge (although I think craft glue would work, too)

2. Apply Mod Podge to the craft ring and add your paper (it took me about four 12×12 sheets to cover it completely).
3. Once dry (or mostly dry!), turn the ring over and cut the excess paper off.
4. Cut the letters off the Birthday Banner.
5. Apply Mod Podge to the middle of each letter and glue to the wreath. Be sure to center the letters over the hole that you’ll be using to hang the wreath. We made the hole wider with a screwdriver so we could use the sash as a bow to hang the wreath – you could make it even simpler by just using ribbon.
6. TA-DA!

We used an American Greetings pink tablecloth to create an adorable tablescape full of tasty, kid-friendly snacks (I served sandwiches, applesauce pouches, fresh fruit, and pretzels – everything was store-bought to save time and keep this party simple!).

I also think a photo booth would be fun…here are some free photo booth printables. And if a princess party isn’t your cup of tea, check out this amazing polka dot party (it’s so cute).

Party princesses! There were also several princes available, but in their words, “We don’t want to take pictures with the girls!”
I’d say turning four was a success. Here’s to friends, ponies, princesses, and being four years old!

Tell me about your favorite birthday party – I’d love to hear what you did!
