Do you ever crave something sweet, but it’s just not worth the calories? Or, maybe it is, but then you feel kind of guilty because you ‘messed up’ your diet? Hold on to your hats friends, because today, I’m bringing you a guilt free ice cream! This Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream is DIVINE!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream
Made with frozen bananas, and a few all natural ingredients, your sweet tooth will be satisfied! Have you seen these ‘banana ice cream’ recipes? I was pretty curious whether or not it really tasted like ice cream.
Actually, a few years ago, I tried it. Just frozen bananas in the food processor. I thought it would be fun to tell my kids they were having ice cream for breakfast. I just wanted to be a fun mom for once (anyone else ever feel that way?). So, we made it, and it was good. The kids thought they were eating ice cream, and while I thought it was good, probably banana flavored ice cream wouldn’t be my first choice.

So, here you have it. Chocolate peanut butter banana ice cream. Friends, I can’t even explain how much we loved this. So you have to try it! I have a thing for chocolate. And peanut butter actually. So this was the perfect flavor for me. But I have to say it totally inspired me to try some other flavors too. Strawberry, cherry, mango, peach…the possibilities are endless.
What you need~
- Frozen bananas
- Almond milk
- Cocoa powder
- Peanut butter
- Honey
What to do~
- Place the bananas, almond milk, cocoa powder, peanut butter and honey into a food processor or High powered blender such as a Vitamix or Blend Tec.
- Blend until smooth
- For soft serve, serve immediately, for more of a hard ice cream texture, freeze.

Notes~
- The bananas may only need a couple hours to freeze, but I left mine in overnight
- Ripe bananas are best, but they don’t have to be brown.
- When you first mix the ice cream, it will be more of a soft serve consistency. If you like a firmer ice cream, then place it in the freezer for a few hours after blending.
- I’m in love with my Vitamix, I have one just like this. A food processor works great too if you don’t have a Vitamix or Blend Tec. Definitely use a food processor over a regular blender.

Makes 8 one scoop servings.
1 scoop = 1 purple, 2 tsp

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 4 bananas cut into thirds, frozen
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 4 Tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 Tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a high powered blender such as a vitamix, or into a food processor.
- Blend until smooth.
- For firmer ice cream, place in a container and freeze for a few hours.
Notes
To reduce your teaspoon count, reduce peanut butter in total recipe from 4 TBS to 3 TBS...this will make your teaspoons right around 2.

🙋🏼♀️Looks great only problem I have is banana 🍌 give me hives and I really don’t like chocolate 🍫 ( I’m weird I know). I 🤷🏼♀️ I love 💕💕peanut butter is there any other foods I can use to make something like this Please Thanks

Yes, definitely! I also like to make a PB&J shake with protein powder, peanut butter, and one cup of frozen berries. It's also amazing!

Is this suppose to be for one of the three treats per week? I don't see honey, cocoa or almond milk as part of the 21 day fix diet.

Great question, Christal! Here is how those items are counted:
Honey: honey counts as a teaspoon, per this article: https://www.beachbodyondemand.com/blog/honey-21-day-fix One tablespoon (which is what the recipe calls for) is 3 teaspoons. So you will be getting less than 1 teaspoon per serving. You can count this as a teaspoon. Because it's such a small amount, I don't count it.
Cocoa powder: There is no definitive answer on cocoa powder that I could find. However, I have seen several recipes from Beachbody themselves that include it and don't count it. I always buy an organic, unprocessed cocoa powder.
Almond milk: Here's how Autumn counts almond milk (in this case, because you're not having it every day and it's a small amount, I wouldn't count it for myself): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOGF2gN7yqg
