I won’t be writing an update after every week on Weight Watchers. There’s only so much I can say about wanting chocolate and being angry when I run out of points for the day. But I do want to share an update from this week, because…it was hard.
Because Week 1 had been a smashing success (and because I was afraid of counting points, because it pretty much sucks and makes me grumpy), I decided to do another week on the Smart Start program rather than jump into full-blown Crazy Weight Watcher Crazy Lady Point Counter mode.
The week was okay. I struggled at social events (and by “struggled,” what I really mean is had a glass of wine and then gorged myself on Fritos because, FRITOS!) and I over-indulged on one of my favorite treats ever – Hershey’s chocolate. Which I pretty much cannot resist under any circumstances, so why even bother trying, right?!
Basically, I was a little bit lazy about preparing food and not super diligent about what I ate. Still, though, it was a far cry from my eating habits of prior weeks (months), which involved lots of sugar, fast food, and other junk-that-should-not-be-consumed.
I almost didn’t go to the meeting because I was confident I had gained weight, or at the very least, maintained. I was upset with myself for my week of poor choices and told myself I’d do better next week and just stay home and wallow in my sorrow and peanut butter and cups get back on track the next day. Luckily for me, Charles forced me to go to the meeting.
And imagine my surprise when she told me I had lost half a pound.
This week, I am counting points. I’m hoping that counting points and staying on track will be worth it, because you guys – if you haven’t noticed? I don’t like dieting.
So anyway, there you have it – I am counting Week 2 as a success and a lesson learned. If you want results, stay on track and go to the meetings.
If you’re doing Weight Watcher’s, or just looking for some healthy meals, I’ve got a bunch of WW Crockpot meals for you here.
