I’m a Hawaiian Falls blogger. I’ll be sharing promotions, helpful information and tips about our local Hawaiian Falls in Garland. All opinions are my own.
Did anyone else start school this week? As of today, my kids are officially back at it, and it’s a mixed blessing, to be sure. On the one hand, the kids are back in school…no more fighting all day, complaining that they’re bored, asking me one million times a day if they can play video games, or, my favorite question, “what are we doing next?”
One of the kids’ summer highlights this year was getting to spend tons of time at Hawaiian Falls in Garland. With our season passes, we visited on the reg. We had friends with season passes, too, it wasn’t uncommon to run into somebody we knew while we were there (which is always SO fun for the kids).
There’s just something nice about being able to load up and head to your local water park and hang out. And because we could visit any time we wanted, there was no pressure to do it all during one visit. We could back any time!
I would have to say that my favorite part of our Hawaiian Falls Summer of Awesome was our season passes. They gave us so much flexibility. The last time we visited, the kids spent most of their time in the wave pool (which they hadn’t been to the last two times we were there, becuase they were so busy on the slides!).
We’ve learned to go first thing in the morning (you get in early if you have season passes) to get a nice spot in the shade. Or, we head over later in the afternoon, after the morning crowd has thinned out a bit.
I asked the kids why they love to visit Hawaiian Falls. One of them says it’s the slides…the other likes the wave pool and the lazy river. I like that they can both swim, and that they can do the slides and wave pool on their own!
There is still plenty of time to visit your local Hawaiian Falls, and it’s a really good time to visit. With school back in session, crowds are down, and you’ll feel like you have the whole park to yourselves!
