It’s SPRING! Those glorious few weeks between cold winter and hot summer in Texas. That means Easter, more outside time, and a closet refresh for the growing kids (because holy cow, are they growing…!).
I’ve partnered with Firewheel Town Center to share some great deals and fun spring activities taking place at Firewheel.
Jack is nine now, and he’s not a huge fan of shopping with me (LOLOLOL…”not a huge fan” = he hates it). But he DOES love the park and Auntie Anne’s, and so with those bribes in my back pocket, I brought both kids shopping with me (also? These kids are growing FAST…I needed them with me to try things on!).
First. we hit up the Easter Bunny for some fun photos. Kids can visit the bunny and have photos taken through April 1st. The Easter Bunny is located right next to Sweet and Sassy, across from the park. You can find all of the dates and times the bunny is available here.
Get there right when it opens and you won’t have to wait in a long line! 🙂 Also, if you have little kiddos, you can avoid lines by going during the day when the big kids are in school.
With our photo package, we got some great coupons (including 20% off at Crazy 8 and a $25 Shutterfly credit). So, we headed to Crazy 8 first. This is actually one of Claire’s favorite places to shop, and I love it too because the prices are always *super* reasonable.
Claire picked up a dress, a jean jacket, shorts, a t-shirt, new shoes and a bathing suit for $63 (and it would have been closer to $50 if only I had remembered to use my coupon…oops).
I took Jack to Old Navy…they had lots of shirts for $6, which is totally my price range when it comes to kid clothing.
The main reason *I* go to Firewheel is to shop, but if you’ve got kids there are lots of reasons to visit, including all the free spring festivities!
Everyone is invited to the Firewheel Town Center iannual Easter Egg-Stravaganza. This year will feature a special “Muppet Babies”-themed Disney Junior Play Date, geared towards kids of all ages.
This event take place in The Park on Saturday, March 24 from 12-2 p.m.
There will also be arts and crafts, an obstacle course, and the 92.1 Hank FM Party Patrol!
The Easter Egg Hunt (for kids 12 and under) will start at 1:45 p.m.
Kids under 5 can enjoy their own, little kid-friendly egg hunt in the park at the same time.
Happy Spring, y’all – see you at the mall! 🙂
