I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Reebok. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
I have a thing about shoes. I want them to be cute, and I want it to look like I at least made a little bit of effort when I was getting dressed. But in the end, comfort always wins. Always. And so, I spend most of my days in a pair of glittery flip-flops that have teeth marks from the dog or my clunky workout shoes, because they are comfortable. If I go out and I’m not already wearing my trusty flip-flops, I almost always change into them the second I walk in the door.
I would say, with *almost* no shame, that I choose frumpy and comfy over style. UGH! I just wrote that and it’s true. I’ve become a frumpy mom.
So I’m kind of excited about the new Reebok Skyscape shoes that I’ve been wearing the last few weeks.
The Reebok Skyscape is an everyday shoe (perfect for running errands, chasing kids at the park, and wearing to yoga) made entirely from foam (like the stuff they use to make molded foam bras, but stronger because it’s for your feet). Walking in these shoes is kind of like walking on a fluffy cloud (or at least, how I imagine that would be). The design provides cushioning, comfort, and flexibility, while maintaining a low-cut design for extra mobility.
They’re also seamless, which minimizes rubbing (I’ve been wearing these daily, sockless, with no discomfort).
Oh yeah, and they’re machine washable. I throw all of my shoes in the wash anyway (dirty shoes drive me nuts), so to have a pair of shoes that is designed to hold up to machine washing is pretty much amazing.
I bought mine online from Kohl’s (you know I love me some Kohl’s!). I chose grey, because I seem to be buying a lot of grey lately. But they have all kinds of cute colors!
I’ve been wearing my Skyscape shoes consistently for several weeks. They are my favorite shoes to wear right now, and I’ve given them a run for their money. I had them on for ten hours yesterday…from errands with the kids, to a Starbucks run, to a play date, to cleaning up all the dog poop in the backyard (keepin’ it real, sorry), to just walking around the house…I didn’t want to take them off!
And they were great for the Light Saber Baseball game (don’t ask) we had the other day.
I kind of hate to follow up a picture of me with a video of a super model, but I’m going to do it anyway because I love Miranda Kerr (who is not only a super model, but also a mom and the spokesperson for Reebok Skyscape shoes).
Next month, we are taking the kids on our first real family vacation in almost two years (and the last vacation doesn’t even count because Claire was a baby and we were all sick the entire time). We’ll only be gone for three days, but I’ll be walking a lot – and I’ll be taking my Skyscape shoes. Not only are they lightweight (5 ounces!) and easy to shove into a suitcase, but I trust that they’ll also be comfortable enough to get me through long days on my feet.
With shoes this comfy and cute, I’ m almost running out of excuses to be a frumpy mom! 😉
