I have been hard at work getting some new meal planners ready. I’ve added some features and seven new designs and I finally have them all listed and ready to go in my Etsy shop. I am excited to share them all here!
But first of all? I totally see why people don’t start small businesses or follow through on ideas they have. Because, you guys? This is WORK. And let’s just say I’m not getting rich.
Sometimes just the very thought of finding supplies or updating my income/expenses spreadsheet or trying to learn new technology just makes me want to quit. I am always doubting myself, and I often wonder if it’s even worth it. It feels like it IS worth it, though, and I love it every time I wrap up a planner and send it off to its new owner…but the process has been about, oh, A MILLION TIMES harder than I expected!
So with that, I’m going to share with you what I’ve got cookin’…and hope this keeps moving forward in the right direction!
First up? New planner designs!
I’m excited about the fun designs, but I’m reallllly excited about the new features I’ve added to the insides. Each book comes with the following:
- 12 monthly calendar pages (for those of you who like to meal plan for a month at a time)
- 60 weekly meal planning pages with a perforated grocery list (plan for the week, pull of your shopping list for the store, and stick the menu on the fridge!)
- 10 holiday/dinner party meal planning pages (also perforated, so you can plan the meal AND your shopping list at once)
- 5 note pages (now perforated so you can pull them out)
- Meal Planning Resources (my favorite blogs and sites for meal planning help, with room to add your own)
- Heavy duty laminated cover
- Plastic coil binding
- Personalization options (at additional cost)
This is what the weekly planning pages look like, so you can get an idea for how the perforation works:
And here are the holiday meal/dinner party planning pages:
You can see the rest of the pages, and the insides of the other planners, here.
I’m proud to say that since I’ve opened, I’ve sold over 50 planners and have 15 reviews of my shop…all of which are five-star!
This will be the first time I’ve ever sold a product at Christmas time. I have no idea what to expect, but I am hoping for a succesful holiday season! Because I’m not sure how many I’ll sell, I’m set up to take reservations now…and I’ll send a gift-wrapped planner with a personalized gift tag to your recipient.
I am also taking my planners to my first-ever ACTUAL sale! As in, I’ll have an official table and everything! I’ll be at the HUGE Just Between Friends Dallas consignment sale in Mesquite September 25-28…if you’re a local parent, JBF Dallas is NOT to be missed (I have more info on JBF coming soon…it’s a great way to make some extra money and score some great deals). I’ll be selling my planners at the sale, and I would *love* to see you there.
And one last thing! If you stuck with me through this post and want to buy a planner, I have a coupon code for you. 🙂 Use code BLOGPROMO to get 10% off all purchases in my Etsy shop (code is good now through September 20, 2014).
