It’s hard to believe, but until today, I had never been to a large consigment sale for kids. Since Jack was born, I have had Just Between Friends on my radar…but you know how it is. You think something looks cool, you want to go, and then…you just don’t. Or at least, that’s how it’s been for me. UNTIL TODAY.
This afternoon, a group of local bloggers had a chance check out the presale at Just Between Friends Dallas. And you guys? It. Was. AWESOME.
The Just Between Friends Dallas spring sale runs March 20-23, 2014. It’s located at the Mesquite Convention Center – easy to find and lots of room to SHOP inside!
I didn’t know what to expect, or what kinds of prices I would find. I had heard it was going to be full of bargains, but in my experience, “bargain” is relative…so I wasn’t sure how far my $25 JBF bucks would go! I decided I’d look for a couple of bathing suits and some shorts for the kids, and anything above that would be gravy.
But first, I found the shoe section. And the toy section. And the dress-up section.
After about an hour and a half of shopping (and I could have stayed a lot longer…I didn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg in the books or decor areas!), I ended up with the following goodies:
- 2 bathing suits for Claire
- 1 bathing suit for Jack
- 4 tops (1 is Tea Collection!)
- a boutique-brand dress
- seven pairs of shorts
- 1 pair of sandals
- 2 pairs of Disney Princess dress-up shoes (hello, Cinderella and Belle)
- 1 light saber
My grand total? $50.34.
If you’re local to Dallas and have littles (or are expecting!), this is ABSOLUTELY worth checking out. The last day of the sale, everything is 50% – I might go back and see what else I can find for that price (I’m talking to you, books!!). I’m definitely a convert, and I can see what all the fuss is about and why people line up hours before the sale starts to get the best stuff!
If you go, be sure to use the hashtag #JBFDallas to share your finds so everyone can see!
Have you been to a JBF sale before?
I received early admission to #JBFDallas and was compensated in exchange for this post.
