During 2020, I found myself with a lot of extra time on my hands (who didn’t). I ended up making lots of planner inserts and putting together my own planner every month, which might sound time-consuming but is actually super fun and satisfying. These pastel floral printable inserts for the Happy Planner were one of my favorite ones to use – they are cheerful but also kind of soothing, and for sure fun to look at!
How to Make Your Own Happy Planner
These pages are specifically designed to fit the Classic Happy Planner, which is 7″ x 9.25″. You can buy a Happy Planner online, at your local Michaels, or on Amazon.
You can also make your own, using these printable pages (and whatever other pages you want to include), a DIY cover, and Happy Planner rings.
Use any paper you like! This is my favorite paper (I have a subscription to it, and I get two reams every few months).
You will also need a punch designed specifically for the Happy Planner rings. I have this one and use it all the time!
Don’t forget a paper cutter! Scissors will work, but the paper cutter will give you sharp, straight edges every time you use it. I bought ones years ago and it’s held up really well.
To create the cover you see here, download the file and print the front and back covers. I recommend printing the covers on cardstock. I used a Happy Planner Classic DIY Cover that I purchased on Amazon. You can buy one here.
This printable prints best on 8.5 x 11 paper and is designed to be cut down to 7×9.25 inches to fit your Happy Planner.
You can print out all of the pages, or just the ones you need. I recommend printing the pages out individually. if you’re printing pages back-to-front (duplex), do this page by page. It takes a little longer, yes, but you will avoid misprints and save paper, time, and ink (trust me on this!). It may take a couple of times to get into the rhythm if you’ve never done this before, but once you’ve done it a few times I promise it gets easier and makes more sense.
Is this planner available in 8.5×11?
Yes! You will find that in a separate post. All of my printable planners come in this size as well as 8.5×11, which is perfect for a 3-ring binder or the BIG Happy Planner! (at this moment, as I write this, I haven’t put out the 8.5×11 yet…so if you need it and can’t find it, shoot me an email).

Thank you for the free planner. I have looked at your planners, I have a problem of purchasing planners and not using them. Hoping that this one will get me using one. Funny how now that I am not working, I need more planning in terms of getting projects done.
I can’t believe the difference in cost of your products between Amazon US and Amazon Canada plus import fees. Even Michael’s has items double the price. Not something you can control but still sad for your international followers. Maybe you can suggest alternatives
I hope this one works out for you! I have about 12 that I’ll be releasing over the next year (or months, depending on how fast I work, ha). And I knowwwww….ugh, shipping. It is so, so expensive and now there are lots of extra fees on top of that, and it seems like it’s always changing or going up. I wish I had a better way to ship things.
