We received complimentary lunch at Relics Antique Mall Tea Room as part of a promotional blogger tour of Springfield, MO through the US Family Guide. All opinions are 100% my own. Be sure to see what I bought below!
The best lunches are always served in tea rooms. There’s something about flaky croissants, chicken salad, decadent desserts, lots of fruit and specialty teas that just makes me SO happy.
One of our destinations in Springfield was the Relics Antique Mall Tea Room, which made me happy for two reason – antique mall and tea room.
Now, in all truth, I wouldn’t normally be excited about visiting an antique mall with kids. And I would bet most antique malls wouldn’t be excited about me visiting with kids, either. 😉 But this was VACATION and those kids were going to get some antiques in their lives!
We were actually just there for the Relics Antique Mall Tea Room, which is located inside the building (in the very center). But after we ordered, I took the chance to wander a few of the aisles in search of any treasures that might need to come home with me.
I ordered chicken salad on a croissant and the House Citrus Mango Iced Tea. The kids each ordered a sandwich (grilled cheese for Claire, roast beef for Jack). While we waited we enjoyed friendly service, a fun dining experience (antiques! antiques everywhere!), and a hot debate over which dessert we’d be choosing.
The food was delicious, and everyone in the family was happy. The kids even ate all their food, which is kind of a big deal and definitely worth celebrating with some dessert, right?!
So we got a scone.
Guys. This scone was HUGE. And it came with cream and jam and was full of scone-y deliciousness. I’m not kidding when I say this might be the best scone I’ve ever had!
You can check out the Relics Antique Mall Tea Room menu here. And visit this page for directions and hours for the Antique Mall (if antiques are something you love, give yourself plenty of time to visit – this place is HUGE).
Oh! And I know you’re on the edge of your seats wondering what I bought. This was calling my name (and was less than $9).
