Disney Princess Birthday Party: Free Printables and Simple Craft Ideas!

Disney Princess Birthday Party: Free Printables and Simple Craft Ideas!

Well, somehow or other, my baby just turned four. Four years old, you guys! It seems like just yesterday I was looking into her eyes for the first time. It’s hard to believe that little baby is now a child with opinions of her own who is obsessed with ponies, princesses, and the color pink.

Princess Birthday Party IdeasKnowing all that, we decided that this year we’d throw her a Disney Princess birthday party. But we wanted to keep it affordable (birthday parties can get expensive, y’all). Also? I wanted to DIY this party without actually having to DIY much (if that even makes sense?). I know I’m not the only one who likes the idea of a DIY party but doesn’t want to put in the work involved to actually make it happen – so I made a *super* simple Happy Birthday wreath and a few printables to give my store-bought party a homemade feel.

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BDayOnBudget #CollectiveBias

I used American Greetings products and found everything I needed for this party at Walmart in the party section (tucked right in between Doc McStuffins and Minnie Mouse).

American Greetings at WalmartI love a good wreath, so I decided to repurpose the Disney Princess Birthday Banner and Birthday Sash into a wreath. This entire project cost around $15 and took less than 20 minutes (and I can save it for future princess parties or pass it along to someone else).

Happy Birthday Princess WreathWhat you need:

American Greeting Disney Princess Birthday Banner

American Greetings Birthday Sash (totally optional – you could use ribbon instead)

4 pieces of scrapbook paper or some paint

12″ Wooden craft ring

Mod Podge (although I think craft glue would work, too)

Happy Birthday Wreath1. Get all your supplies ready.

2. Apply Mod Podge to the craft ring and add your paper (it took me about four 12×12 sheets to cover it completely).

3. Once dry (or mostly dry!), turn the ring over and cut the excess paper off.

4. Cut the letters off the Birthday Banner.

5. Apply Mod Podge to the middle of each letter and glue to the wreath. Be sure to center the letters over the hole that you’ll be using to hang the wreath. We made the hole wider with a screwdriver so we could use the sash as a bow to hang the wreath – you could make it even simpler by just using ribbon.

6. TA-DA!

Disney Princess WreathOn a side note, the wreath was made with the assistance of the birthday girl…this is totally a child-friendly craft!

We used an American Greetings pink tablecloth to create an adorable tablescape full of tasty, kid-friendly snacks (I served sandwiches, applesauce pouches, fresh fruit, and pretzels – everything was store-bought to save time and keep this party simple!).

Princess Party TablescapeI really wanted to keep this party budget-friendly and most importantly, stress-free. But I also wanted to make it special. You only turn four once, right?! So I put together some printable party decorations, invitations, and thank you notes – and these are all available for you to download for free so you can keep your own store-bought party looking homemade! 🙂 Download these Disney princess party printables at the bottom of this post.

Disney princess birthday party printablesOf course, a party wouldn’t be a party without lots of princess (and prince!) friends.

PartyI used American Greetings stickers, party invitations and thank you cards for a craft (we made Princess Diaries by decorating inexpensive composition books with scrapbook paper and princess stickers).

I also think a photo booth would be fun…here are some free photo booth printables. And if a princess party isn’t your cup of tea, check out this amazing polka dot party (it’s so cute).

Party Guests

Party princesses! There were also several princes available, but in their words, “We don’t want to take pictures with the girls!”

I’d say turning four was a success. Here’s to friends, ponies, princesses, and being four years old!

Sooo sad that we missed this party! I’m pinning this so we can have our own in Feb when my little monster turns 4! Thanks!
