Today, fashion blogger Brooke from Benevolent Brooke is sharing five pieces everyone needs in their winter wardrobe…and three easy winter styles that anyone can wear!
Happy Winter (officially!) Today I woke up rejuvenated after getting some much needed sleep and rest. I turned on a Christmas movie favorite and headed into the kitchen to bake about 4 dozen cookies! Check out the recipe below to make yourself! I’m staying bundled up in this 20 degree weather with layers. Layering is important in a look to take it up a notch and to make your look season appropriate!
Below are 5 key layering pieces you need in your closet for this winter:
Denim/Chambray button up shirt – this one is under $22! You can pair a denim shirt with graphic tees, plaid, and sweaters! The possibilities are unlimited.
Striped Shirt – great to pair under your layers!
2. B&W – This cotton black and white striped shirt is so versatile, I’ve created so many looks with it. With this particular look, I paired it with a ruana (a poncho-style outer garment). I paired a floppy hat (you need one too!) and my favorite OTK boots that are currently a fun trend right now. You can substitute a cardigan for this look instead of the ruana wrap, if need be!
3. Bundled Up Fleece: my love. It keeps my bones so warm! I got this fleece lace up dress on sale and paired it with a classic black leather jacket for an easy, warm look. The lace up trend is also super popular right now.
Try to create one of these looks! You might be surprised with what you come up with and have a new favorite outfit!
