This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits. All opinions are my own.

Last week, I shared my first ever pre-prepped meal kit experience (you can read all about how it went down here). What I’ve learned since then is that most meal kits are subscription services. I had no idea! I thought you could just order them whenever.

Pre-Prepped Meal KitAlso, I’ve learned that they’re pretty expensive. To be fair, I haven’t tried any other meal kits. I imagine they’re excellent, and similar to what it costs to take my family out to dinner. But if I’m going to pay restaurant prices, I really don’t think I want to do the dishes, you know what I mean?

Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits are $19.99 (and if you’re lucky like me, sometimes you can grab them on sale for a few dollars less!), and don’t require a subscription.

UPDATE 4/12/2020: They are now around $12 – TOTALLY worth it, you guys.

Currently available in Texas, you can pick them up at your local Target, Walmart HEB, Albertson’s or Tom Thumb (find where to buy them here).  You’ll find them in the fresh meat section at your grocery store. If you’re not in Texas, you can order from Amazon Fresh. Amazon Prime Now and Jet.com.

Pre-Prepped Meal KitTonight, we had the Tyson Tastemakers Herbed Chicken and Farmstand Veggies with Garlic Herb Butter, and I’m going to go ahead and say it’s my favorite one. SO good, y’all.

Each kit serves three. Charles and I could probably split one, but if I’m watching portion sizes like I’m SUPPOSED to (hello, 21 Day Fix!), the portion sizes are accurate. The kids can split the third portion (except the part where it has veggies and veggies make them cry <<< REAL LIFE PARENTING MOMENT).

Pre-Prepped Meal Kit

Pre-Prepped Meal KitAnd speaking of the 21 Day Fix and portion sizes, the ingredients are all-natural and there are no preservatives used. Ingredients are important to me. I don’t like products with tons of ingredients, and I certainly dont like ingredients I can’t pronounce.

This meal kit is typically $19.99, but I was lucky enough to get it on sale, so it was even a few dollars less. If I bought the ingredients on their own, I figure it would have cost me around $10-12, not including any spices or marinades. And I would have had to prep it all myself (which everyone in this house knows just isn’t going to happen). So, for a couple dollars more than I would have paid for the ingredients alone, we were able to buy everything all prepped and ready to be cooked. That is a HUGE timesaver.

Pre-Prepped Meal KitAnd, did I mention, it was SO GOOD? The garlic-herb butter and roasted tomatoes took it over the edge. But it was also delicious because the veggies were fresh, the meat was well-trimmed (I don’t do fatty chicken, NO WAY, NO HOW) and full of flavor, and the potatoes…well. Potatoes and garlic-herb butter.

Pre-Prepped Meal KitI am *not* a capable chef. I am intimidated by all the steps that go into cooking a nice meal. But I can totally do these. Not only does it taste amazing, but it also feels great that I made it myself.

Pre-Prepped Meal Kit

Pre-Prepped Meal KitThe meal kits change seasonally. I am hoping this one is available for awhile, because I’ll absolutely do this one again and make it part of our meal plan. In fact, it’s similar to how we like to eat already…chicken and veggies. The fact that it’s already put together for us is just a bonus.

Have you tried a pre-prepped meal kit before? If you’re in Texas, I hope you get a chance to try one the new Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits!
