This picture of Jack and his Thomas the Train umbrella is from last summer (see all that green grass?), but I stumbled across it this evening and it just makes me happy – so I thought I’d share.
This picture makes me look forward to the summer. I mean, kind of. When summer is actually here I will complain and whine and moan and HATE IT BECAUSE TEXAS IN THE SUMMER IS AWFUL. But, it was cold today and so, I’ll pretend like it’s not going to be 100 degrees every day in just a few short months.
Also? This picture makes me realize what a big kid I have. This is just a few months old, but already, Jack has outgrown that shirt and somehow turned into a four-year-old.
Where is the time going?

That is a pretty great photo. At least in the summer the weather is steady, and not this back and forth that we have right now.

True. I’m convinced the constant weather changes are contributing to my constant illness.
What a cute picture!
Summer in Texas is oppressive – and buggy. Yucky at those big ole roaches.

Oppressive is a very nice way to say it. Ha!
I always say that January/February are our pay off for July/August! I LOVE living here this time of year and I’m ok with struggling through the summers…I don’t have to scrape anything off my car and I can move my arms because they aren’t in some huge-mongous coat!

YES…I’ve had to scrape ice off my windows just a handful of times and what a beating!!
I’m so ready for summer. It’s been months and months of snow & dreary skis. Your rainy photo makes me think of spring….thanks for sharing.
Oh gosh, you poor thing…I can only do snow for, like, half a day and then I’m over it. Snow is a lot of work! It’s awesome, and then…it’s not.
